Handled Has Joined the Parent of United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit

A total of 1,776 local moves, 1,843 services and 112 service locations in 95 markets since our 2019 launch. It’s been a wild ride!


Now for the big news.

Our concierge moving experience is getting an upgrade. As a result, we’re no longer accepting bookings for the foreseeable future. The reason? We’ve joined UniGroup, parent company of America’s most recognized and trusted moving companies — and our service partners — United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit

This positions our tech-powered home services booking platform to change every step — and aspect of — the moving experience on a much larger scale. Handled’s technology will be repackaged as digital sales tools for members of the UniGroup network, empowering them to offer the same seamless, local move-booking experience we offered through Handled.com. They’ll now be able to offer our intuitive, digital-first process — including contactless booking and payment — to their customers. 

Looking to the future, our unified team prepares to build the industry’s first intuitive, bespoke commerce platform, giving UniGroup agents of all sizes the tools to market, sell and manage their products and services online. As for moving and home services customers, they’ll enjoy the same simple digital booking experience.

Changes aside, the Handled Home app isn’t going anywhere. It can still be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play to enhance the moving and home services experience with United Van Lines or Mayflower Transit and the local moving companies who adopt it.

That same app is helpful if you have no plans to move. Handled Home allows you to:

  • Create a visual, digital home inventory for home or renter’s insurance purposes

  • Organize and catalog what’s in cabinets, closets or the attic
  • Store important documents, such as warranty information, serial numbers, and product and service receipts
